What is an Anti-Vaxxer
May 2024
I just learned that a second friend of mine, since the covid vaccines were rolled out, has died from cancer. Both friends were in their sixties and appeared healthy and active just months before their deaths. Yet another friend has bloodwork indicating she may have lupus, an autoimmune disease. As a licensed nutritionist she teaches others about healthy living. She is a serious athlete in her fifties.
At this time, May 2024, there is “breaking” news from the New York Times. They are reporting possible injuries from Covid-19 vaccines. Former CNN host, Chris Cuomo, seems to have admitted that he himself has a vaccine injury. He claims to be treating this with Ivermectin. The irony of this will not be lost on those who heard Mr. Como’s nightly attack on those who dared to refuse the vaccine and his ridicule of those who took Ivermectin. Now, after admitting their “vaccine” could cause blood clotting, the makers of Astra Zeneca are removing it from the market. Some hosts of podcasts that I listen to believe that the tipping point has been reached and that the end of the global web of lies is on the horizon. I remain much more of a skeptic.
Twenty years ago, Robert Kennedy, Jr. published the article “Deadly Immunity” in Rolling Stone magazine and in the online magazine Salon. This piece disclosed details from secret minutes of a meeting that was held in Simpsonwood, Georgia. The minutes were obtained via a FOIA request. At that time my daughter was fourteen years old. I finally had an answer as to what had happened to her.
I was sure that the world would be up in arms. Vaccine injured children! They knew about it and kept on giving them out to all children! They had been lying to us! I was on a mission. This had to be stopped. I bought as many Rolling Stone Magazines as I could get my hands on and surreptitiously placed them in pediatricians’ waiting rooms. Alas, not only was this article ignored, but I believe both Salon and Rolling Stone removed the article.
In my enlightened state, I emailed Peter Bell, who at that time, was head of NAAR, an autism support organization, that pre-dated Autism Speaks. My husband and I had financially supported NAAR. I told him that his organization needed to caution people and let them know that there is a possible danger to some children getting the vaccine. We had a polite back and forth. Determined to convince him and knowing that he had a vaccine injured child, I then asked him, hypothetically, what vaccination decision he would now make knowing what he now knows or suspects. I felt he had a responsibility to the members of this organization and to the public in general. I almost fell over when he told me that there was no reason to speculate on this, because he had a second child that he did not vaccinate. I stopped communicating with him.
When Andrew Wakefield was thrown under the bus, I created a supporting bumper sticker that I gave out for free. What a surprise for me when a lady, who edits a great website supporting families of vaccine injured children, asked me to send her only two stickers. What we are up against is that even our own families and friends don’t support us. Even they can’t take the time to really look into what we are telling them. How could I possibly be naïve enough to believe that the world would care or believe us.
Case in point are close friends of my husband and me. For years they heard our stories of the proof of the vaccine harm suffered by our daughter. They seemed supportive and would join in talking about their disdain for the pharma industry. When we tried to educate and warn them about the Covid shots, or when they heard that we were not going to get vaccinated, we realized that they had never really believed that our daughter was vaccine injured. We have lost friends and family who were afraid to be around us or who we could no longer politely discuss topics that now terrified them. Truth came from their favorite talking head on television, the pages of the New York Times and the Washington Post and from the mouth of Anthony Fauci.
Two Americans, Michelle Zimmerman and Shaun Barcavage, who were injured by the Covid shots, were interviewed by the newly ‘red pilled’ Chris Cuomo. They were featured in the above-mentioned NYT’s article. Anyone with a soul would be touched by their accounts, as I was. I was also infuriated that Michelle tried to explain that she was not an anti-vaxxer. Even severely injured people bow to the manipulation and propaganda.
I decided to find out when that pejorative was first used. Oddly, not even with AI could I find the answer. Everyone knows of people who are continuously pinned with that moniker such as RFK jr., Joseph Mercola, Jenny McCarthy etc. When did it start? My AI source kept wanting to go back to 1859 when some resisted smallpox vaccination. When I specifically asked for information in the 20th century, AI had no access as to when this first started. My husband believes it was after Del Bigtree’s documentary, called “Vaxxed”. In any case, it is not something I had heard in the many decades of my life prior to the explosion of autism in the 90’s. Now, it is right up there with tags like racist and antisemite. Who exactly are these people? Could it be that they are the parents of children who were vaccine injured? If so, then they weren’t born anti-vaxxers, they became anti-vaxxers after they vaccinated their loved ones.
My grandfather who was born in 1886 would fit the definition of an anti-vaxxer, but no one was called that back then. My mother, born in 1922, was his third child. An inoculation against smallpox was available. My grandfather dutifully took his sons in for the treatment. Their reactions were so severe that he refused to have my mother inoculated. In the USA at the beginning of the 20th century I believe they were giving children inoculations rather than vaccinations. The idea being the same, an intervention meant to protect against a disease. Just a side note, my mother received her first vaccine at the age of 94, a flu vaccine. She had never had the flu, but in 2015 all the doctors were giving these out for free.
It may be time for the enlightened among us, to own the label anti-vaxxer. We should be proud to be against something that has caused so many deaths and so much disability, something that has ruined marriages and destroyed the future of many children. Add to that the crushing financial burden the disdain and disrespect heaped upon the injured then you will understand the name for this new blog.
